Hi Guys,
I have been Designing a Board Game off and on since 2008.
The name of the Game is "Classic Car Sharks".
It's about collecting Classic Cars, from the years 1929 to 1959
The First Player to collect a certain number of cars of a Group Wins.
It has been Playtested Many,Many times.
Each time ,working out the Bugs.
The Mechanic is Roll and Move, but it can be controlled by Cards.
I have put up a web page to show what it can do.
I'm not good at web site design,it's only a page.
Would you please have a look at it and tell me the Good and Bad.
Thanking you in Advance
Gerry

Took a quick look

I was wondering how do you know the VALUE of certain cars that are to be bought? They have the GREEN square and only a picture of the car appears on the board...

What I really like is the direction signs (left turn, right turn, one-way, etc.) It's cool you can go on different PATHS. Does the value of the cars go UP as you go towards the middle??? That could also be cool.

Another positive point, it is easy to understand how the game is to be played. The icons you used are very good and the rules are pretty clear.

IMHO the board "looks" a little "busy". Some cars look a little "flattened". I'm just wondering if you implement the game with half as many squares (double the size of each square). Rather than putting the picture of the car, you could put a green stop light and write the model of the car to be bought. Then you would need to search through the card pile for the correct car...

Also maybe you could use some COLOR coding for the models of the cars. I would make the SQUARE the color and make the writting in them either BLACK or WHITE. BUT I would make the tiles on the board the appropriate color (to match with the manufacturer). Currently you have the TEXT a different color (European is blue, Ford is green, etc.)

The colors part may make the board look more like a "Monopoly" board - but on the positive side, you may get a nicer looking board (with color coded tiles)...

A few other ideas...

Another few thoughts... Since you are dealing with cars, another element that might be added to the game is the POLICE. You can get SPEEDING TICKETS, PARKING TICKETS, have your car TOWED (move a couple of spaces forwards or backwards, etc.), CAR IMPOUNDED (sorta like Jail in Monopoly)...

These are just some of the ideas I got after seeing your game... The ideas are free, just suggestions.

Board and Card Game

Hi Questccg,
Thanks for all your suggestions and kind words.
There are Parking and Speeding Icons (Traps) on the Board.
The Price of the Cars is on the Card Face from $6500 to $10000.
The 4 inside Streets have a $1000 Rebate
The 2 Inner Streets have a rebate of $1500.
Where it gets to be Fun,is when a Player only needs 1 or 2
Cars to win.
Then the wheeling and Dealing comes into play
I have seen Card been sold for $25000.
I built this Game with 26 years as a Mechanic as Background.
There are many spaces on the board, that allows for 8 Players.
To have a shorter Game,we have dealt 2,3,or 4 Cards
to each Player. It,s a heck of a lot of Fun.
Thanks Again
Gerry
