Need betting mechanic

Basically I need to add betting mechanic to a word game.

The game is guess the word by looking at clues to get round a board. The less clues seen more moves currently but I need to add a betting mechanic into it using virtual money and whereby you get some extra thing to help you guess the word or you move more spaces round the board or something?

Can you not just use the meeple betting wits and wagers family edition uses??

You have a big and a smal meeple *(maby onley use one meeple), the big is worth more points. You bet on how manny clues you need befor you guess correctly. You get point deduction for going ower the number you guessed. And you get no bonus for knowing it early. So there is an insentiv to guess correctly or I will not get as manny points. You can have the betting after the first clue is heard. Could that not work?

I m not familiar with this.
There are a maximum of 6 clues in my game.
I dont get you with betting after first clue could you explain little more detail?
The main point is the monetization where you gain something to guess words over other players using the money buy strategy

Shure, you place the meepl on

Shure, you place the meepl on how manny clues you need befor you can guess the word. You will need atleast one but as you said the max is six. And if I am correct I can ither get victory point ecual to the invers of the numbers of clues (1 clue = 6 point). Or you can have this as a ods chart for betting. If I place the meeple on 6 clues I onley get 2 times the money but if I place it on 1 clue and guess correctly I get 7 times (or anny other high number) (onley problem here is you can easaly end up with alot of money I think).
If you do not guess correctly you ither loos youre money or get no VP. (or som other penalty) If you guess correctly before you placed youre meeple, lets say I place it on 4 clues but guess correctly on the third clue I stilll onley get the ods for 4 clues. That way players have insentiv to try and chuse as fue clues as posible and still not just chuse 6 clues al the time.

I hope that makes things clearer if not just give me a call and I will try to explain it further.

Just curious...does each

Just curious...does each player bet each round on who they think will guess first? Or is there a non-guessing player each round (like the judge in Apples to Apples) who gets to look at the word and then place a bet on who they think will guess it first? Or does the non-guessing player bet on how many clues will be needed before the word is guessed? In the latter case I would imagine the player who guesses succesfully would get points based on how quickly the can guess the word.
