Hello BGDF!

My name is Kyle, and I'm currently in Japan, though I would probably call Vancouver, Canada my "home," and I'll be moving back there in a year.

I got introduced to BGDF through The Dice Tower and their videos on YouTube. I've always muddled different ideas around for games, either on paper or in my head, but only recently have I really tried to get them into development. Thus, I consider myself to be a first-time designer. I have a fairly good knowledge of games that are out there, though not extensive, so hopefully my ideas only work to flow from my good experiences in games and not merely imitate others I haven't yet played.

Currently I'm working on a game entitled "Schitzophrenia," still completely in the theoretical stages, along with some basic drawings and example concept photos. I'm not sure where exactly I should post information to be subjected to feedback on here, or how specific I should be in my descriptions of my game, but if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated!

Thanks guys!

Kyle

Hi Kyle Well....this forum

Hi Kyle

Well....this forum has some experienced designers with a lot of advice that can be helpful......trying to get that advice can be tricky.

Sometimes you get a bunch of replies...other times nada. So I'd suggest using this forum as a sounding board. Put your ideas out there, and if people are interested or have some advice, they'll offer that.

I've used this place almost like a sketch book. I'll post my game ideas and any response, positive or negative, helps refine the idea. Then again, when it comes to the day on when to move that idea into reality.....hopefully the feedback and knowledge gained from here and BGG will assist that be a success.

Good luck!

Thanks! I will try to treat

Thanks!

I will try to treat it like that as well: a soundingboard to get feedback on my ideas over time. I'm in the pretty early stages still, so I don't imagine any of my ideas to just improve into final, quality games for quite some time. So even if I get one or two comments a month, it will help me refine everything over time.
