Designing and kickstarting a board game by yourself

As I've designed and created MIND - The Fall of Paradise on my own, many people asked my if I have some tips on how to stay motivated and what to keep in mind when chasing their dreams. I've come up with this list.

1.Take the Leap, Start Working on your Dream

How to joy a beginner ?

Hi,

I have created my new game, a coop workerplacement. Yesterday I have played it with a group of experienced game designers and one of the essence was, the game is too complex, it will scare peaople away who dont´t play this kind of games regulary.

The game itself doesn´t offer a lot of draw possibilities a turn but the results are longterme and complex.

I am wondering if I should reduce complexity and a strategic moment of the game or if I better should make a kind of starting kit with less options for a beginner game and then give experienced players the full package ?

Related Games Subsystem

Many of the designers in The Game Crafter community have asked for a way to link their games together. Sometimes it’s because one game is an expansion to another game. Other times it is because they have a deluxe and a basic version of the same game. Whatever your reasons, you can now do exactly that.
Go into your game and click “Edit Details”. At the bottom of the screen you can see a list of all your games. You can click on one to link it to the current game.

DS Video game now Android project

Although this is NOT a Video game forum, I simply wanted to share some of my discuss what has been going on for those wondering where "Tradewars - Homeworld" is?!

"Tradewars - Homeworld" is being reviewed by a Publisher, it has almost been 1 year (in review). We really want to make a deal with a publisher however we realize that all efforts need to come to a conclusion and feel that 1 year to wait for a response is NOT unreasonable.
