Well, I've done it, and there it is. For those who are interested - especially whoever it was who dared me to post it! - I've uploaded the details of my game. Something of a word-dump, I guess, since I pretty much just C&P'd the rules.

The “Secret War” game represents the Cold War era espionage struggle between NATO and the Warsaw Pact to gain intelligence on one another’s strategic military plans and capabilities. This print-and-play version of the game can easily be set up for 2 players, and you’ll find out that rules for a 4-players variant are not so hard to figure out.

I know it's a stupid question and doubtless one that's been asked before, but I'm going to ask it nonetheless in the hopes of getting a straightforward and simple answer.

How safe is it to discuss game ideas on here?

Now, before you all indulge in a fun game of jump-on-the-n00b and accuse me of impugning the characters of everyone here present and suggesting that behind the site's façade of deep respectability it's actually a hotbed of skulduggery, let me explain. See, the fact is that all the advice I've had from people is to keep the cards close to your chest.

This is just a place holder for now until I get more time to add more information about the game.

In general, Ready. Set. Fish! is a family game each player is an amateur sports fisherman and a national tournament comes to town. The winner will win the endorsement contract and become a professional.

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself as a new member of the site.

I'm new to the art of board game design but not to the field of design itself... I'm trained as a graphic designer but have just come to terms with the fact that games may be my true passion. As a result, I've become interested in designing my own game as a way to flex my training in a new way. That and the lure of the obvious gobs of money that await every successful game design... Right?
